Ophelie speaks three languages, but love isn't one of them. Across five chapters shaped by the elements of the Chinese Wuxing, she forages for romance in New York City. The deal breakers are small: warmongering tennis partners, dead bamboo plants, VR headsets in the bedroom. Nothing you couldn't live with, if you could live with it. What's it like to be in your element?
